Leigh Giangreco is a journalist based in Chicago. She previously worked in Washington, D.C., where she chronicled everything from the catastrophic failure of the Pentagon’s most expensive fighter jet program to why Joe Biden is on Tinder. Her work has appeared in The Washington Post, Politico, The Guardian and Bloomberg Citylab.
After graduating from American University, she worked at a community newspaper where she wrote about heroin-dependent infants, a rodeo cowboy turned NASA worker and a Cinco de Mayo Chihuahua dog race.
She’s also a journalist passionate about telling stories in unique and innovative ways. She wrote, produced and directed a play based on a story from the hit radio show “Snap Judgment” for D.C.’s Capital Fringe Festival in 2018.
